a place where people randomly take a pair of shoes with them, pull over and hang them on the fence. It used to be that people put just one shoe on the 'tree' but on the new fence, I see more pairs of shoes than a single one.

That is awesome and weird. I'm sure you've seen the shoes over the electrical lines. I always wonder about the wearer, who was taunting him.
